Apoorva Lakhia is a happy man. His film may not have done well at the box office but it has given him immense pleasure. The screenplay of his latest film Ek Ajnabee has been invited to be a part of the collection of scripts at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Lakhia is in high spirits. He was recently holidaying in Thailand showing his family the locations used in the film. He is very happy with this achievement. It was Bunty Walia who informed him on the achievement. Lakhia is already scripting his next for which he wants to cast Akshay Kumar.

The script is written keeping in mind the Mizoram jungles. So far there have been only three recipients of this honor- Kal Ho Na Ho, Shabd and Swades. It does not make a difference to Lakhia that his film is inspired from Men of Fire from Hollywood. Surprisingly it does not make a difference to Hollywood either. Well then, it's party time, Mr. Lakhia.
