It is a quixotic situation to the department of education in the state. The hue and cry for engineering college seats has come to an end. The colleges started function for fresh academic year of 2016-2017 from 7th of August.

As the study with this campus filling with new students it is ascertained that 19047 engineering seats are vacant. The counseling for 55,885 seats ended on 31st of July.

Engineering education is not fetching the job is one of the strong mindset that is resulting in such a situation. In 10 top colleges in the state the seats are vacant. The vacancy in other states is said to be further more compared to situation in Karnataka says reports.

In Karnataka there are 12 government and 201 engineering colleges. The demand for this academic year primarily for Computer science, Electronics, Mechanical and Civil Engineering faculty the seats got filled very quickly.
