Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor who had hosted several parties besides meeting many people had tested positive for coronavirus yesterday, and following this, she has  been booked for negligence and disobedience.

An FIR has been registered against Kanika Kapoor at Sarojini Nagar police station, as reported by Police Commissioner Surjit Pandey. The FIR was lodged under IPC Sections 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), 270 (malignant act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant).

Based on a complaint given by the Lucknow chief medical officer, the FIR was filed. Besides this, two more FIRs are planned to be filed against Kanika Kapoor at Hazratganj and Gomtinagar police stations for visiting places in their jurisdiction.
