Five winners of 2011 Kannada cinema

Out of 122 Kannada films released in the year 2011 five winners are – Sanju Weds Geetha, Hudugaru, Sarathi, Paramathma and Vishnuvardhana.

Five films made in 32 crores earned Rs.90 crores is the calculations of economic pundits of Kannada cinema.

The biggest earner is 'Sarathi' of Darshan and Deepa Sannidhi starring film produced by KV Sathyaprakash a politician of JDS party. Against Rs.7 crore investments the film 'Sarathi' reaching to 100 days in first week of January earning is calculated to Rs.25 crores. Dinakar Toogudeepa is the director of this film.

Next top grosser is Hudugaru starring power star Puneeth Rajakumar, Srinagara Kitty, Yogish, Radhika Pandit in the direction of K Madesh for Dr Rajakumar home banner. For Rs.5 crores expenditure on the film this film earned Rs.15 crores in 100 days.

The third best is 'Paramathma' because of two vital names Power star Puneeth Rajakumar and Yogaraj Bhat. Deepa Sannidhi and Aindrita Ray are the heroines. The film made in Rs.7 crores earned more than Rs.15 crores from distributors and theatre collections for the producers Jayanna and Bogendra.

The fourth biggest is 'Sanju Weds Geetha' starring Srinagara Kitty and Ramya in the direction of Nagashekhar. The film made at a cost of Rs.5 crores earned more than 10 crores of rupees in 100 days of the film.

The fifth and six biggest earners are Sudeep starring Kempegowda and Vishnuvardhana. Kempegowda is a hit for producer Shankre Gowda was released in March and Vishnuvardhana in the middle of December would gather more earnings in the year 2012.
