Donald Trump endorsed a post by The Spectator Index on X that indicated he is about to endorse Vivek Ramaswamy for consideration as a potential vice president candidate, remarking, "It’s the dream team."

Vivek Ramaswamy had earlier stressed the need to bolster alliances with India, South Korea, and Japan in his plan designed to further reduce American economic dependence on China and Taiwan.

After making his debut in Republican presidential primary debates last month, 38-year-old Indian-American Republican contender Vivek Ramaswamy laid out his policy vision and international stand during an interview where he responded to criticism from fellow Indian-American Republican candidate Nikki Haley, who questioned his grasp of foreign policy minutiae.

"We will forge a stronger alliance with India, including an Indian commitment to ensure the Malacca Strait in case there is a possible conflict with Taiwan. We’ll also build stronger relationships with other allies like South Korea and Japan so that we can decrease our economic reliance on China or Taiwan," said PTI.

Former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson said that barring Donald Trump from seeking a second presidential term because of his involvement in January 6, 2021’s US Capitol insurrection must be a decision for state election officials.

The unpredictable contender expressed these concerns during an interview with Bloomberg Radio while running against Trump for the Republican nomination. He feared that the party might choose a candidate who could become ineligible for ballot appearance and service according to the constraints of the 14th Amendment.
