Nithya Shetty is the new kid on the bloc. In fact, she was on the bloc even as a kid. Having acted in about 20 films as a child artist, winning two Nandis and an international award for an international movie, the debutante of Padesave is raring to make it big as a female lead. Even as this triangular love story is yet to hit the marquee, the fledgling debutante has signed a Telugu and a Tamil movie.

"I'm looking forward to the film's release this month. I'm playing one of the two female leads in Padesave. After this, I'm doing Shoban Babu where Rahul Ravindran is the lead. I've also signed a Tamil movie," she says.

The actress looks bubbly and bears resemblance to Colours Swathi. Ask her if she has been told that, she says, "Yes, many have told me that I look like Swathi. I admire Swathi's body of work. I used to watch her TV show Colours as a child," she says.
