Arya who recently celebrated his birthday with style gifted his fans with a first look poster for his upcoming film ‘Ghajinikanth’ for which director Santosh P.Jayakumar will be wielding the megaphone. A bespectacled traditional looking Arya on the backdrop of a bright yellow background greatly impressed the fans.

But what was much more talked about was the actor’s missing veshti in the poster. Given the obvious title of the film, we understand that this is a comical replictaion of Superstar Rajinikanth in 1988 flick ‘Dharmathin Thalaivan’. In that film the Superstar who essays the role of a absent minded professor forgets to wear his veshti while going out.

Reportedly, Arya will be essaying the comical role of a memory loss patient in this film which is based off of Telugu movie Bhale Bhale Magadivoy which starred Nani in the lead role. Hence the wonderfully and clever title ‘Ghajinikanth’ which is a fusion from ‘Ghajini’ (in which the lead character is afflicted with short term memory loss) and half from Superstar’s name as a tribute to his absent minded character.

The film is being bankrolled by K.E.Gnanavel Raja under the Studio Green banner.
