The go getter for Kannada filmdom in the last two years heading the apex body of Karnataka Film Chamber Of Commerce SA Ra Govindu has an idea of conducting a film festival in Belagavi. He was expressing his wish to this journalist at CKL launch in KSCA Stadium.

Meanwhile the great concern Sa Ra Govindu expressed was towards the English titles kept for Kannada films. He was speaking at ‘Anveshi’ audio release. He said all his means to keep away English titles for Kannada films is going in vain in this democratic society.

Sa Ra Govindu KFCC President participating at the audio release event explained the situation of a few who come with English titles. I have tried to convince those who come with English titles for Kannada film registration to KFCC. They were not ready to accept. Then I applied the loss of subsidy, entertainment tax etc for such non Kannada film titles. Even that measure also did not work out. One of the foreign producers recently came and said we are not bothered about anything. We are ready to lose our money. What one can say for such persons?

Govindu drawing his attention on ‘March 22’ Kannada film losing in the box office said, the title of the film was not noticed well. I was inspired with that subject.

Environmentalist, educated people know what is March 22. What about the people living in rural areas? Govindu asked. That was a very good film went without notice of the people Govindu added.
