The success meet of 'Gundammagari Manavadu' directed by B Jaya, presented by K Achireddy and produced by Venkat on the banner of RR Movie Makers with Ali, Sindhuri and Nikhole in the lead, was held in Hyderabad recently.

Speaking on the occasion, director B Jaya says, 'Right from the launch of the film, I kept saying that I would make the film as a movie that wins the compliments from the industry and claps from the audiences. I am very happy that the audiences made our film a big hit. We are receiving phone calls and messages from various centres right from the release show that the film is good. Distributors and exhibitors were also congratulating us for bringing out a good film. Everywhere the film earned a hit talk.

As the entire movie was quite interesting, the audiences are sticking to seats and are not trying to venture out except in the interval. All the characters looked quite natural and the audiences were identifying themselves in one or the other characters. As the audio had become a big hit before the release and the choreography of songs was also attractive helped in making the film a big hit.

Presenter of the film K Achireddy says, 'Director Jaya treated this movie as her own film and ensured that the cost of production would not go beyond the budget. As she claimed, she dished out a good family subject in an entertaining manner. The story and its movement are attracting the audiences well.

Ali says, 'The film has an equal share of comedy and sentiment. However, I preferred sentiment and played the character with responsibility. In 'Desamuduru' I gave a big comedy, while in this film, the comedy could be seen in five to six scenes only and devoted the remaining film for sentiment. The way Jaya moulded the film is worth watching. Likewise, the cooperation extended by senior artistes like Kota Srinivasa Rao and Thanikella Bharani is also immemorable.' The entire unit thanked the audiences for making the film a big hit.
