It is the birth of a new hero in Kannada – Sachin! In his debut Sachin son of Karnataka politician Cheluvarayaswamy has shown high caliber working hard in dance, action, emotions, romantic moments etc. Sachin is chiseled further he is sure to get more whistle for his films.

The high point of this film is also heroine Samskrithi Shenoy. She is like ‘Chand Ka Tukda’. A serene looking, beautiful, girl next door in appeal, powerful in acting is taking birth in Kannada cinema for the first time. She is already known in Malayalam films.

Director Mahesh Sukhadhare of films like Sambrama, Siddu, Sainika, Sarvabowma, Ambarisha etc has taken enough time in building up a good family entertainer. The entire film is in the village background, using the diction of Mandya region that is land of sugar cane - director Mahesh Sukhadhare given a Pakka desi cinema. All character doing fine job makes this is an easy go and watch ‘Happy Birthday’. Audience would feel happy for so many things in the film. The real meaning of ‘Happy Birthday’ is in its caption ‘Maga Aithe Ninge’.

The best way to live in life is by sacrificing. That crops up in the hero Sachin especially after he rescues Veera Swamy (Achyuth Kumar) father of Anjali. Veeraswamy narrating his past urge Sachin to fulfill three demands before he bids goodbye in life.

Sachin in quixotic situation when he hears the three demands – to take up ‘Stick Fight’ and beat Jamboore (Ravi Kaale), marry his daughter Anjali and thirdly the short life of him should not be revealed to Anjali, his daughter.

Sachin by this time is immensely in love with Anjali and on her insistence is about to attend interview in a bank. Anjali made arrangements for Rs.1 lakh deposit for this purpose. He has promised Anjali that he would not take up ‘Stick Fight’ (Donne Varse) again in life.

Instead of going to interview Sachin spends the same amount on the medical expenses of Veera Swamy father of Anjali. He is not found with Veeraswamy for a few days obviously irk everyone.

Furious with her fiancé behavior, Anjali is upset in life. Her father finally reveals the fact. Whether Sachin is able to fulfill the demands put forth by Veeraswamy? You have to watch on silver screen.
Sachin has power and strength for a long innings. The beauty to watch again and again is Samskriti Shenoy. She is a terrific actress and variety she has got gives her a superb position in tinsel town.

Achyuth Kumar is sure to get award for supporting role. Comedy of Chikkanna, Sadhu Kokila, Prashanth Siddi is engaging, Rajesh Nataranga, Aruna Balaraj, Ashwini render able support. The presence of Srinagara Kitty in the beginning and Dr Ambarish in the end add extra value to the film.

The music of V Harikrishna is another trump card of this ‘Happy Birthday’ – Hogume….Marnovi Habba Kalkondu Barume… En Varase Donne Varse…are very melodious. Cinematographer Suresh Jayakrishna visual treat adds extra strength to this film.

This is an easy watch makes the B and C audience very happy.
