Villager Udhayanidhi, Publicity Parthiban and Photoshoot of Soori

After the critically acclaimed hit film 'Manidhan' last year, actor Udhayanidhi Stalin;s first release of this year was 'Saravana Irukka Bayamaen'. The film directed by Ezhil made decent collections at the box office despite getting poor reviews.

Now Udhay's next release of the year is ready to hit the screens tomorrow (August 11, 2017)? The film titled as 'Podhuvaaga Emmanasu Thangam' is Udhay's first film as an actor for an outside production banner. The film has been produce by the prestigious Thenandal banner and directed by debutant Thalapathy Prabhu. This is also Udhay's first film in an entirely rural backdrop.

Udhay's character name on the film is Ganesh and he comes as a happy go lucky youngster who would not respect anyone's words.

Nivetha Pethuraj who shot to fame with her debut film 'Oru Naal Koothu' acts in the role of a village belly in this film. She is already popular among the people across the state.

Veteran R.Parthiban acts as the antagonist while Soori is their for comedy. Parthiban's character name is Oothukattan and it will be a powerful character. He will be someone who would do anything for publicity and the combination scenes between Udhay and Parthiban is something to watch out for.

Udhay has revealed in a recent interview that Soori is the natural choice too add humour in rural based films. He also said that Soori has done a hilarious job in he film and he will also has scope for emotional acting towards the climax. Particularly there is a photo shoot scene. involving Soor. The scene that comes for just two minutes in the film has been shot for a whole day. Soori also got injured while shooting this scene and it will be one of the highlights of the film.
