For Sai Dharam Tej, 'Jawaan', coming as it does after the failure of 'Thikka', 'Winner' and 'Nakshatram', all of which were super-flops, is quite important.

Writer-director BVS Ravi is banking on the gripping narration in the second half. Further, he says that the film's two backdrops have never been explored in Telugu cinema. They are: the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) backdrop in which the main plot unfolds, and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh background of the hero.

Octopus, the Numero Uno missile of the DRDO, is treacherously wanted by the villain's gang, whose leader is the handsome Prasanna (Kollywood actor).

The traitorous ploy is sought to be fought by the hero, who has been baptized in the RSS ideals of patriotism and sacrifice.

All eyes are now on Sai Dharam. The confident makers are reportedly going to hold special previews for celebs and the media on Nov 30. The film releases on Dec 1.
