Iconic films that gave R Madhavan his classic loverboy image.

R Madhavan has given some very iconic and passionate performances in his career. Although he has portrayed a wide range of characters, fans can't get enough of his chocolate boy image that he made earlier in his career and sustained it by playing romantic characters every now and then. Madhavan is set to show his loverboy side again in Amazon Prime film 'Maara'. Here are some of the films that got him his chocolate boy image.

Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein: This 2001 flick is one of the most iconic romantic movies of Bollywood. It saw Madhavan romance with Dia Mirza and featured Saif Ali Khan in a supporting role.

Rang De Basanti: R Madhavan and Soha Ali Khan's romantic subplot gave an emotional balance to the film and perpetuated the plot further in second half.

Alai Payuthey: Maddy made his Tamil debut with this Mani Ratnam flick. He was cast alongside Shalini in this movie which portrayed a realistic version of love and marriage.

Maara: Madhavan will return to his loverboy image in this soon to be released film. It promises a fairytale like narrative and dreamy cinematography.
