On Tuesday, an Indian-origin family of four from Kerala was found dead at their San Mateo, California, home. Anand Sujith Henry (42), his wife Alice Priyanka (40), and their four-year-old twin sons Noah and Neithan have been identified as the deceased.

San Mateo police said the two family members died of gunshot wounds, but the remaining two deaths are still undetermined. At this time, investigators have not ruled out a possible murder-suicide.

It was reported that the family suffered from nausea and headaches after returning home, so the first indications went towards carbon monoxide poisoning by a heater or an air conditioner. However, police said there had been no indication of problems with the appliances or leaks of gas.

The couple worked as IT professionals. They had stayed in the US for nine years. While Alice was a senior analyst, Anand was an engineer in software. They shifted from New Jersey to San Mateo two years ago. Colleagues and neighbors remember them as hardworking, friendly people, and dedicated parents.

The Indian Consulate in San Francisco is extending consular help to the family in India and has expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family and the entire Indian-American community.

This comes as investigations are set to begin to trace the cause of the deaths of the family members who were found dead today in their house in Nugareh, Baringo County.
