Is Ravi Teja too egoistic about remuneration?

Back in 2016, Ravi Teja was supposed to do a film with Dil Raju. Titled 'Yevado Okadu', it was to be directed by Venu Sriram. A few months after its launch, the project was shelved. A year or so later, Dil Raju suggested (indirectly) that the film had to be cancelled because of remuneration issues with the Mass Maharaja. The duo did team up successfully for 'Raja The Great', but 'Yevado Okadu' remained a pipedream.

Cut to 2019, Ravi Teja is once again in the news for a similar reason. His film 'Maha Samudram' with 'RX 100' director Ajay Bhupathi is not going to happen. Ajay took to Twitter recently and wrote 'Cheap Star' without mentioning who was targeting. The speculation is that he was referring to Ravi Teja for "wasting" his time. Ajay spent months after the hero said OK to his script, only to quit the project due to disagreements over remuneration.

Despite a string of flops, Ravi Teja is seemingly adamant about how much he should get for a film. This is not to the liking of production houses. "Ravi Teja, who is one of the most successful actors of the 2000s, should keep in mind that new stars like Vijay Deverakonda have risen in recent years. He is not in his prime anymore. So, he shouldn't demand exorbitant fees," a social media user comments.
