After a long discussion at the final schedule of shooting Upendra and Darshan starring 'Pitamagan' remake film has been titled as 'Anatharu' – meaning orphans. Prior to this the titles like 'Hari Hara', 'Harischandra' were in the rumor mill. Now producer Munirathna and director Sadhu Kokila have finally approved 'Anatharu' and registered the title at the film chamber of commerce.

In the 100 days shooting Sadhu Kokila erected three important sets at Tonnur Kere, Mysore and Kaginale. Recently a song featuring Rambha was shot at Bangalore Palace for this film. The film is now at the dubbing and re-recording stage. Radhika is the heroine of this film explained Sadhu who kept tight secret on the proceedings of the film in the last 100 days.

The role in this film 'Anatharu' is equally opposite to the charisma of Upendra and Darshan. A speedster in dialogue delivery in all his films Upendra is mum throughout the film. Action hero Darshan who talks less in his films is a chatter box in this film. Both present at the media briefing of the film at Bangalore Palace praised the workaholic nature of director Sadhu Kokila.
