It's Advantage Dammu in AP and Karnataka

Ordinarily, summer is that time of the year when at least three releases vie for space at a given time. 2012 is interestingly different, with just two big releases in the whole of April – Racha and Dammu. What is even more remarkable, the films are well spaced out.

The distributors and exhibitors of Dammu cannot ask for more. The film is not only not threatened by even a whiff of competition in AP but also in Karnataka. In fact, Dammu was to be contended by two Kannada releases of Puneeth Rajkumar and Upendra but they have been duly put on hold. Parie, a small-time film, is the only release on April 27.

Dammu is releasing with 1200 prints tomorrow. It is the biggest ever Telugu release in Karnataka, opening in 150 screens. Unrivalled at the BO, Dammu is sure to get stunning openings.
