Rana Daggubati, who was roped in to play a key role in the Tamil movie'Vada Chennai', is no more part of the project. It was IG which first broke the news that Rana has walked out of the project but there was no official confirmation on this front.

"Rana has opted out of Vada Chennai as he had some issues with the way his character was sketched. We will be working together soon," posted the 'Polladhavan' and 'Aadukalam' director Vetrimaaran on his microblogging page.

'Vada Chennai' has Shimbu in the lead and is produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri's Cloud Nine Movies. Andrea Jeremiah will be seen in a crucial role and there’s no official information yet on the lead lady although it is said that Divya Spandana has been approached for the role.

The film would have definitely made a very good launch pad for Rana in Tamil. Before he backed out of the project out of creative difference, it was publicised in Tamil media that Rana’s was a very meaty role. Will he find a film that fills the vacuum created by Vada Chennai?
