Apparently impressed with the pre-release expectations his maiden production venture 'Attakathi' managed to generate, producer CV Kumar of Thirukumaran Entertainment has kick-started his next venture, which has been titled 'Pizza'.

Vijay Sethupathi of the award winning 'Thenmerkku Paruvakatru' will be the protagonist, while Malayalam beauty Remya Nambessan will be the leading lady. The film is being written and directed by Karthik Subburaj.

"Pizza will be a crime thriller. It will be a totally new attempt in Tamil cinema. Screenplay will be the biggest advantage of Pizza as it has been written in a novel way. The project will hit the floors by the end of this month," says the director.

George Williams will be the cinematographer of 'Pizza', while music will be composed by Santhosh Narayanan. In the meantime, attempts are on by Kumar to release 'Attakathi', a film set in the backdrop of North Chennai, soon.
