Amidst the rising voice for women and the need for an equal portrayal of them in leading characters in movies, one would ask and wonder: will there ever be a female 007?
If you thought so too, we have the answer. Eh... actually, the James Bond producer Barabara Broccoli has the answer. “Bond’s a male character. He was written as a male and I think he’ll probably stay as a male,” he said.
He also further added that we don’t need to change male characters into women, but rather create more female characters and make the story fit for them. Okay, we got the answer pretty clear: a big loud NO.
Well, he might be right on that one. Or what do you think?
