The extremely high energy and upbeat song “Zingaat” from ‘Dhadak’ is finally out! Though the nation was dancing to the 2016 Marathi version of the song from ‘Sairat’, the brand new Hindi version is also no way less than the original one thereby giving us a new dance anthem to set the stage on fire.
The newbies, Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter are seen having a great crackling chemistry in the second song from ‘Dhadak’. Zingaat is amazingly crooned by the music composers, Ajay and Atul and penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Retaining the tone and mood of the original number, it has been choreographed simply perfectly by the great Farah Khan. Check out the song here where it ends with a Zingaat-styled kiss!
Revealing that rewriting the song in Hindi was challenging, the lyricist said, “The Marathi song was released in the recent past and is still fresh in the minds of people. It has also achieved cult status. There was no point replacing the word Zingaat, so I retained the word and rewrote the rest of the song in Hindi. I made sure that the fun element was intact. I hope people give this version as much love as the Marathi one.”
Directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Zee Studios, ‘Dhadak’ marks the Bollywood debut of Janhvi Kapoor while it is the second film for Ishaan Khatter. It is all set to hit the screens on 20th July!
