It's a known fact that Kollywood is currently expecting multiple biopics on the life and times of former Tamilnadu chief minister and yesteryear top heroine Jayalalithaa, and these biopics are helmed by various established makers like AL Vijay, Bharathiraja, Lingusamy.

Besides these top directors, newbie Priyadarshini, who had earlier assisted director Mysskin is also making a Biopic of Jayalalitha titled as The Iron Lady. This movie will star Malayalam beauty Nithya Menen as the late chief minister of Tamilnadu.

The latest update on this project is that it will begin shooting from February 24, and might star Malayalam actor Sugumar as the legend MGR. The movie bankrolled by Papertale pictures will have Varalaxmi Sarathkumar as Sasikala, and will be shot in special sets in Ramoji film city, Hyderabad.
