The shooting of Vijay’s upcoming film Jilla has been proceeding at a brisk pace, it is learnt from sources close to the film’s crew. Shoot of almost all the sequences in the film have been wrapped but for some patch-work.

It is said that Vijay has also finished his dubbing work for his character in the film. As already reported, Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal are paired opposite each other for the second time in Jilla after last year’s super-duper hit Thuppakki. D. Imman has scored the film’s music which has been scripted and directed by debutant director Nesan.

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and yesteryear’s successful heroine Poornima are paired in the film in significant roles. Mohanlal, who loved the film, is said to have acquired the release and distribution rights of the film in Kerala. Others in the film’s main cast include Mahat, Niveda Thomas (heroine of Naveena Saraswathi Sabatham), Soori, Sampath Raj, Thambi Ramaiah, Vidyulekha Raman and Scarlett Wilson.

The date for the audio-launch would be announced soon even as the film prepares for a summit clash with Ajith Kumar’s Veeram on Pongal. R.B. Choudhary’s Super Good Films has produced the film.
