Top hero refuses to act in Jayalalitha biopic

Top hero refuses to act in Jayalalitha biopic

At least half a dozen biopics of the late chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Selvi J. Jayalalitha is in the works and the biggest production among them all is 'Thalaivi' directed by A.L. Vijay which has Kangana Ranaut playing the Puratchi Thalaivi. The multilingual film has roped in Arvind Swamy to play the role of former CM and Jayalalitha's mentor MGR.

It is said that director Vijay approached Junior NTR to play his grandfather and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao but the Telugu superstar has refused the offer. Junior NTR is busy playing a powerful historical role Komaram Bheem in S.S. Rajamouli's upcoming epic 'RRR; costarring Ram Charan Teja, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgan.
