Today is the 66th birthday of Superstar Rajinikanth. Much has been written about his ability to be the Box Office samrat even at this age, command such a huge fan following that keeps growing with every passing day and his modesty even after such phenomenal achievements. So this time, let us focus on the lesson he has taught to everyone by not words but actions.

The evergreen Superstar has requested his fans not to celebrate his birthday for the consecutive second time. Last year it was for December Deluge that severely affected Chennai and claimed many precious lives. This year it was for the death of former Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha who left us on the night of December 5, 2016. Rajinikanth also lost his good friend and adviser Cho Ramaswamy who passed away on December 7, 2016. So personally this year, especially this month should have been devastating for the star.

However on the professional front the year 2016 will be a landmark in the illustrious career of Rajinikanth as Kabali` the film in which he teamed up with a young generation director Pa.Ranjith turned out to be the biggest blockbuster Tamil film of the year. This success gets s more importance as it comes after a couple of forgettable flops after the prolonged illness he suffered in the year 2011.

The film is also important for a bigger reason. Ranjith`s script offered significant scope for Rajinikanth the actor than the star. Fans especially belonging to the age group of 40s and 50s cherished the comeback of the actor they admired to the core in films like Mullum Malarum` and Aarlirundhu Arubathuvarai`.

Even before the release of Kabali`, Rajinikanth started working on 2.0` the sequel to his 2010 blockbuster sci-fi flick Enthiran`. We all know how the Superstar toiled himself and underwent makeup sessions of many hours for the first. The sequel directed by the "tough task master" Shankar definitely has much harder tasks for him to perform. The film is budgeted at around Rs.400 crore.

At 66, Rajinikanth plays the lead role in the country`s costliest film and it is also going to be the most difficult film in terms of hardwork. If this is not enough, he has also committed himself to play the lead role in another film to be directed by Pa.Ranjith which will be produced by Dhanush.

With these two films lined up, we can be sure that the coming years are going to be much merrier for Thalaivar fans. But they should also take this as an inspiration to work hard and be active at any stage of life. True Thalaivar fans will take it as a lesson from him and follow this in their lives: Age is just a number. Work hard, stay calm and keep achieving.`

Certainly the age has not had any bearing as for as Rajinikanth as an actor. But as a person Rajinikanth has been suffering from age related ailments and he also visited USA and stayed there for a couple of months for treatment.

On this auspicious day, IndiaGlitz prays the almighty to bless our much loved Superstar with good health and long life filled with happiness and we also wish him a Happy Birthday.
