Kabir Khan's '83' will now release in 2021.

Movie fanatics as well as cricket enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting for the release of Kabir Khan's sports drama '83'. Although a number of movies are being released on OTT platforms these days, the makers of '83' have decided to opt for a theatrical release. The movie was set to release on Diwali 2020 but due the safety issues and unavailability of large number of screens, the release date was pushed to Christmas 2020.

Now the release date is being pushed again as Christmas 2020 release date will simply won't give enough time to makers for a marketing campaign and they wish to make good profit in foreign market as well. They are now looking for January or March 2021 windows for the release.

'83' will portray the journey for Kapil Dev led team India that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup. It stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Hardy Sandhu, Amy Virk and Chirag Patil among others.
