As one of the most anticipated films of 2024, Director Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi opus ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has been generating a lot of buzz. With just a few days left until its June 27 release date, the team has unveiled a new trailer, which provides a deeper insight into the world that the director has built and offers viewers a glimpse at some new characters outside the lead cast.

The new trailer confirms that Deepika Padukone's character is carrying Kalki and shows that Amitabh Bachchan is determined to protect her and her unborn child from harm at any cost. Additionally, Kamal Haasan’s character delivers a sobering comment on the unchanging nature of humanity, while Prabhas dons a stunning new robotic suit, ready to face any challenges thrown his way.

At the film’s pre-release event in Mumbai, attended by the likes of Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, the team shared more details about the world in which the film is set: Kalki 2898 AD is divided into Kasi, Complex, and Shambala, where people fight against the Complex, a mega city with ample resources.

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is Nag Ashwin's third film, following Yevade Subramanyam and Mahanati. In the upcoming film, Prabhas plays 'Bhairava', a bounty hunter, while Keerthy Suresh voices 'Bujji,' his ferocious AI Droid sidekick. Amitabh Bachchan plays 'Aswatthama,' who's determined to protect the Kalki avatar, and Deepika Padukone plays 'Sumati,' who faces numerous challenges due to her pregnancy.

With its ground-breaking visual effects, top-notch production design, and outstanding ensemble cast, along with innovative storytelling, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is set to be one of the most exciting and awe-inspiring films in recent times.
