Youth arrested for throwing slippers at Kamal Haasan

Kamal Haasan's controversial speech in Aruvankurichi, Madurai naming Mahatma Gandhi's assassin Nathuram Godse as India's first Hindu terrorist has been receiving severe backlash from celebrities and netizens alike.  The Makkal Neethi Maiam president canceled his election campaign for a couple of days and resumed today at Thiruparangundram.

A youngster allegedly threw his slippers at Kamal Haasan when he came to speak at the dias set on the venue.  The police have arrested the person and are interrogating him.  Kamal has said that he is not afraid to speak his mind and what he stated was historical facts and he always stands for unity among people of all caste, creed and religion.
