Actor Kamal Haasan had launched his political party Makkal Needhi Maiam before an year, and his party contested lok sabha elections and Tamilnadu bye elections this year and secured a decent percentage of votes for a first timer.

Following this the actor has resumed works of his next movie Indian 2 directed by Shankar and now it has been revealed by Makkal Needhi Maiam key member Mahendran that Kamal Haasan is planning to launch a channel for his political party, just like other parties in the state.

Besides he also revealed that since TN assembly elections are around the corner, Kamal Haasan will begin working for elections from his birthday, November 7. Kamal Haasan has also announced Thalaivan Irukkindraan produced by Lyca, with music by AR Rahman.
