Actor Kamal Haasan had last directed Vishwaroopam 2 released last year, and is currently acting in Indian 2 directed by Shankar. The shooting of Indian 2 is currently taking place in Bhopal, and recently photos from the shoot, with the 90 year old Senapathy riding a horse became viral.

After Indian 2, Kamal Haasan will start his next movie Thalaivan Irukkindraan which he had announced to revive, and this movie will be produced by Lyca Productions and have music by AR Rahman. Recently it was revealed that Thalaivan Irukkindraan is the sequel to the 1992 hit Thevar Magan.

Following the news that comedian Vadivelu will be reprising his role as Esakki, who loses his hand in the caste fights in Thevar Magan, it has been speculated that actress Revathi who played Kamal's wife in the first part will reprise her role in Thalaivan Irukkindraan, and an official announcement is expected soon.
