If Baahubali made the TFI proud by winning the National Award in the Best Film category, Kanche won the National Award for Best Telugu film. Surely, this is a feather in the cap of Krish, who told a story of humanism, triumph, and a narration that juxtaposed the caste conflicts in an Indian village with the racial terror perpetrated by the Nazis.

Produced by Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu, the film was co-written by Krishn and Sai Madhav Burra (of Krishnam Vande Jagatgurum, Gopala Gopala, and Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju fame).

Starring Varun Tej, Pragya Jaiswal, and Nikitin Dheer in main roles, it has music by Chirantan Bhatt. VS Gnanasekhar's cinematography stood out as one of the major highlights.

"A soul-stirring film that pushes the envelope. Class stuff with high technical values. Sai Madhav Burra and Sirivennela complement Krish's narration of a mind-numbing Nazi pursuit and the 'kanche' in an Indian village," was IndiaGlitz's verdict.
