Kanganas new Jayalalithaa look out, biopic finds its Sasikala

A new look of Kangana Ranaut (playing Jayalalithaa) from director AL Vijay's 'Thalaivi' is out. The biopic on the former chief minister of Tamil Nadu has been in the making for many months now.

In a piece of related news, Poorna of 'Avunu' fame has been roped in to play Sasikala's role in the biopic. "Delighted to announce that I am now officially part of the biopic, directed by @DirectorALVijay Sir. It's truly a wonderful opportunity to be associated with the biopic of the Iron Lady J Jayalalitha ma'am and to work alongside #KanganaRanaut," Poorna has tweeted out.

Madhu Bala will play Janaki Ramachandran. As is known, Arvind Swami is essaying MGR, while Prakash Raj is also part of the cast.

Bankrolled by Vibri Media, the biopic will release on June 26.
