Karthi, who has been delivering hit after hit for the past couple of years unfortunately had a recent setback due to the dismal flop movie 'Japan' directed by Raju Murugan. However he is collaborating with some big talents in his next lineup of projects.

As reported by us earlier Premkumar of '96' fame is going to direct Karthi's 27th film which also has Arvind Swamy in a crucial role. The exciting film is produced by Suriya under his banner 2D Entertainment. with P.C. Sreeram handling the camera and Govind Vasantha scoring the music.

There is great curiosity as to who would play the female lead in 'Karthi 27' with some reports suggesting that there will not be one and story will focus solely on the friendship between Karthi and Arvind Swamy. However we not have hot info that popular television actress Swathi Konde has joined the cast and is currently shooting in the Karaikudi area.
