Ponvannan the vice president of the Nadigar Sangam resigned from his post allegedly due to displeasure at secretary Vishal's attempt at contesting the RK Nagar Bypolls as an independant candidate.  While there is huge media speculations about a huge rift amongst the office bearers of the Nadigar Sangam Karthi the treasurer and Vishal have tried to assure all concerned through social media.

Karthi had posted a playful tweet asking Vishal in Tamil  "What say secretary, we are raising the new Nadigar Sangam building first and foremost and all else is secondary including your (Vishal) marriage".  To which Vishal has replied " Yes Darling Karthi for sure by Dec 2018, we are on track !! Always Love my extended family - Nadigar Sangam !!.
