'Kadaikutty Singam' & 'Tamizh Padam 2' Tamil Nadu opening box office report

The past week saw two family freindly films Karthi's 'Kadai Kutty Singam' and Shiva's 'Tamizh Padam 2' locking horns at the box office.  The opening three days collection report has been procured and as expected both the films have done exceedingly well.

'Tamizh Padam 2' has been recieved with open arms by the audiences giving a staggering collection of rupees 14.75 Crores from Tamil Nadu theatericals which stands at third place this year after 'Kaala' - 35.9Cr and 'Thaana Serndha Koottam' - 33.85 Cr.  The film starring Shiva and Aishwarya Menon, produced by Sashikanth and directed by C.S. Amudhan from Chennai city has garnered rupees 2.03 Cr., Chengalput - 3.9 Cr., Coimbatore- 2.43 Cr and the rest from the other territories.

The Karthi starrer 'Kadaikutty Singam' produced by Suriya and directed by Pandiraj has taken a highly impressive 11.9 Crores at the Tamil Nadu box office.  Chennai city has given 1.49 Crores while Chengalput contributing 3.2 Cr and Coimbatore 2.1 Cr.  This is the 5th best opening this year after 'Kaala', 'TSK', 'Tamizh Padam 2' and 'Tik Tik Tik'.

The Jayam Ravi-Nivetha Pethuraj starrer 'Tik Tik Tik' directed by Shakthi Soundarajan in its fourth week has so far collected 27.2 Crores in Tamil Nadu making this Ravi's best after 'Thani Oruvan'.
