He made his debut with Swargam Narakam about 30 years ago. He has acted in 506 films and produced 44 films. Looking back at his career so far, this actor Mohan Babu, says, 'I have plans to direct a film now.

Let my daughter Lakshmi Prasanna who did her direction course direct Telugu films first. I would direct films then.'

On his next, he says, 'Political Rowdy witnessed a great opening. However it could not sustain the huge opening. Such openings tell me that public wants to see my films. I would announce about my next very soon'.
