Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi has done a few short films because her passion lies in cinema and not in politics, though her upbringing says otherwise. The debutante is currently working on her film starring Shiva and Priya Anand for which the music is composed by Anirudh.

"Script by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi’... — that’s something I always used to dream about. Film making has always been my passion and I used to write a lot of stories and screenplays during my leisure time. Now I think I have taken the decision to direct a film at the right time. As a director, convincing Udhay, the producer, was never an easy task. I had to impress him with my script. He also made many changes and only then accepted to produce the film. Initially, I was trying to reach out to other producers with my script. Many of them were wondering why I was approaching them when I have a producer at home! During the time OKOK was being shot, I narrated my story to director Rajesh. He encouraged me to take up direction. So far, I have been postponing my directorial dreams for my kids. But my mom, mother-in-law and sister-in-law are very supportive. My father-in-law always used to ask me updates about my film. It has never been a ‘no’ from him. He ensured that I accomplish my dream."

We wish this passionate future film maker all the success in her venture!
