With standup comedian Kapil Sharma's debut film KIS KISKO PYAAR KAROON set to cross the elusive Rs 50 crore mark at the worldwide box office, it looks evident Kapil Sharma is here to stay!

According to traded reports KIS KISKO PYAAR KAROON made on a shoe string budget has broken all office records. The movie has earned Rs 37.12 crore from Indian markets, while from the overseas box office it has minted Rs 7.92 crore, thus taking its worldwide total to Rs 45.04 crore.

Trade pundits predict the movie may cross the Rs 50 crore mark as it is still doing brisk business at the box-office.

.Kapil Sharma who is already a rage thanks to his hugely popular TV show COMEDY NIGHTS WITH KAPIL is himself surprised at the superlative success of his film. He has thanked his fans for the movie`s overwhelming response.

After the success of the film, speculations are being made that will Kapil Sharma prove the dark horse and race ahead of his contemporary stars like Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor!

The fact is even Salman Khan`s much publicized film HERO introducing Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty could manage to garner only Rs 6.85 crore on first Friday (11 September). While Kapil Sharma`s KIS KISKO PYAAR KAROON, despite no star attraction and negligible publicity minted Rs 8 crore on its first Friday which is a record opening for any film starring a debutante actor!!!

The bumper opening thus proves it was the star appeal of Kapil Sharma that did the trick. So is Kapil Sharma the new Superstar?

Well it may be too early to comment but trade pundits reveal that among the debutant actors Kapli Sharma is only actor who has the inimitable X factor that can work in his favor!
