'Krishnam', touted to be a thought-provoking and revolutionary film by the makers, is directed by Dinesh Baboo and produced by PNB Cinemas' PN Balaram.  Akshay Krishnan is the lead actor.

Talking about the movie, the makers say, "Out of the many factors that set Krishnam apart, the most unique is that it is led by the person on whom it is based on! The lead actor's extremely thrilling and thought-provoking life is recreated as such on screen by himself, which makes authenticity par excellence a part of this movie! Moreover, it is for the very first time in world cinema that this is happening. As a movie that is riddled with uniqueness, in every aspect, Krishnam is truly a revolutionary concept. Krishnam dwells on the onslaught of emotions and unpredictability of life, for a person to recreate both the harrowing and wonderful things in his life, as such, the challenge is beyond extraordinary."

It will be made in Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil.  "We are using DRM technology to prevent online piracy during release for the first time in India.

There is another first.  "For the first time in Indian cinema, we are going to release it online globally along with Indian theater releases."

The film also features nine songs rendered by nine prominent singers. Vijay Yesudas, Vineeth Srinivasan, Tippu, SP Balasubramaniam, Kala Bhairava, LV Revanth, Madhu Balakrishnan, Karthik and Sathya Prakash have come on board.

"We have also launched an Android and iOS application for the smooth implementation of the contests that we are hosting! In our hunt for the talented boys and girls who wish to enter the movie industry through acting, direction or singing, we are doing our bit through these contests," the makers say.

Contests to rope in singing and dancing talents and a short-story contest will be held.
