Lakshmi Manchu is going to do her first straight Tamil film since Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal'. The 'Memu Saitham' lady has bagged an interesting role in the remake of 'Tumhari Sulu', where Jyothika will reprise Vidya Balan.
As per her recent interview to a national daily, Lakshmi will step into Neha Dhupia's shoes in this remake. To be directed by Radha Mohan, the remake is expected to have a good release in the Telugu States as well.
Meanwhile, in Telugu, the talented lady awaits the release of 'W/O Ram', a female-centric thriller directed by Vijay Yelakanti, a Rajamouli protege. Hollywood film 'Basmati Blues' is another of her projects.
