Lateef Review

Director Israr Ahmed upcoming crime thriller has the talented Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the title role, along with remarkable supporting cast including Murli Sharma, Mukesh Tiwari, Kader Khan, Pratima Kazmi and Akhilendra Mishra among others.

Lateef, a middle class youngster, dreams of becoming a doctor. He gets caught in drug raid where he was just present without knowing the fact. He is jailed and when he returns back after seven years of punishment his whole life and future is ruined. ACP Sawant (Mukesh Tiwari) wants to wipe out drug peddling but he has to face obstacle from corrupt minister (Akhilendra Mishra) and drug mafia Zafar Dongri (Murli Sharma). Meanwhile Lateef is in dilemma what to do or not as he loses his mother. Drug is spreading like cancer in society and destroying life of those who comes into clutches of drugs. Lateef too opts for drugs out of frustration - whether he is able to come out and fight back is the crux of the film.
