Lingusamy makes a mark

Lingusamy is feeling special as he has successfully completed a decade in the tinsel town. It was exactly 10 years ago his debut directorial venture ‘Anandam’ hit the screens.

The director, who is a producer too, is currently busy with ‘Vettai’, which he says a film that would cater to all sections of the audience.

“The script is shaped up in such a way,” he says. While the Tamil version will have Arya and Madhavan as protagonists, the Telugu version of ‘Vettai’ will have Mahesh Babu and Madhavan in the lead. “It will be fast-paced, full of action and of course with my stamp,” the director claims.

Happy about completing 10 years in Tamil cinema, Lingusamy says, “I have learnt a lot during these years. A director should have evolved sensibilities. He should love action and at the same he should also be a great admirer of poetry.”

On the production front, Lingusamy’s Tirupathi Brothers banner is currently making three movies, all directed by promising filmmakers- Balaji Sakthivel, Mysskin and Prabhu Solomon. “I love to direct and produce movies,” Lingusamy says.
