Thanks to the successful run of Tamil films which are being dubbed and released in Tollywood, there is a craze for Tamil directors in Andhra Pradesh.

Following the huge success of Chandramukhi, director P Vasu directed Balakrishna for Maharathi. AR Murugadoss was given the baton to direct Chiranjeevi in Stalin. The success of Thiruda Thirudi propelled Subramania Siva to wield the megaphone for Donga Dongadi.

Also Bommarillu, the biggest hit in Tollywood in recent times, was directed by a Tamilian from Vellore, Baskar.

Joining this long list is director Lingusamy. Soon after completing Bheema starring Vikram, director Lingusamy would be directing a Telugu movie. Initially, it was supposed to star Mahesh Babu in the lead role. But Lingusamy is determined to work without delay and it is understood from reliable sources that Prabhas could be the hero.

The salary and business prospects are big in Tollywood and hence several Tamil directors are making a beeline to Tollywood, say a section of industry men.
