The Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah on the one side waiving the farmers loan in national banks and cooperative societies to the extent of Rs.50000 is also telling how painful that is on the coffers of the Karnataka State.

Rs.8145 crores in all from the waiving of farmers loan of Rs.50000 – now it has to be balanced he told at Gajjalagere Milk Production cooperative society meeting. The farmers connecting to milk asked for 20 paisa for every liter they supply to KMF, the chief minister expressed the burden already from waiving of part of farmers loans.

Meanwhile there is a rumor that the Universal Health Coverage would come in to effect the Chief Minister Relief Fund would be stopped from November 1.
The Universal Health Coverage card holders would get medical facilities from government and selected private hospitals. As the chief minister relief fund was given all these years on the basis of health related issues, the idea of stopping this scheme is on the anvil.

On an average Rs.30 to 40 crores of was given under chief minister relief fund. From last few years the chief minister relief fund increased to Rs.60 to 70 crores annually.
