Lockdown till April 30: KCR

K Chandrasekhar Rao has on Saturday said that Telangana will be under near-total lockdown till April 30. After this date, it will be lifted in phases.

Here are some of the details he further shared:

I have requested the Prime Minister to ensure that Rs 10.15 lakh crore of helicopter money is printed. Quantitative Easing is the only go. Otherwise, we won't be able to withstand this national slowdown.

Telangana is the only State in the history of the country to procure everything grown in the State during the lockdown directly. We have committed Rs 25,000 Cr for the purpose of paddy procurement through 6849 local markets.

By now, the revenue of the State this month should have been Rs 4000 Cr. Due to lockdown, it's just Rs 100 Cr.

All students till Class IX shall be promoted automatically across private and government schools. A decision on Class X exams shall be taken soon.

The State has got 243 containment zones. GHMC has got 123 containment zones.

Food processing industries like rice mills, flour mills, oil industry, among others, shall be exempted from the extended lockdown (from April 30) in the State.
