'Machaakkaran' is sure to take you by surprise in many respects.

Apart from the Ayyanar statue and a reservoir set, there are more to excite the audience. Art director Remiyan erected a rich set for the song 'Jikirthanda' within 3 days.

Malavika sizzles in an item number for this film. She had already acted with Jeevan in ‘Thiruttu Payale’, is appearing for this song, 'Nee Nee', written by a new lyricist Devendran. Hariharan and Madhushree sing the song.

The movie also has a Car Festival (Ther Thiruvizha) of a temple shot lively for a song.

The climax is said to be something unpredictable. A swarm of fishes worth Rs. 1 lakh has been used for the climax fight. For Kamna, it is a different experience altogether. She has a role to play in the climax. The problem is that she has fish smell allergy.

Kamna, however, is too professional to hesitate to act in a scene that is required for the movie. So she braved the smell and gave her full-hearted cooperation. Though she was bitten by a fish during the shoot, she did not bother.

All this hard work and innovative ideas are sure to provide an engrossing experience on screen.
