Maddy is generally seen as romantic hero.

But in Thambi he has become an angry young man. And it seems to have worked. The film seems to be picking up steam after a lukewarm start.

And Maddy is happy.

All credit should go to director Seeman for getting the best out of me, says Madhavan about his radical role in the movie.

A thrilled Madhavan for a good showing in Thambi says, ‘I owe it all to Seeman. He deserves all the credit. He has projected my character in the film quite differently. '

Following Thambi, Madhavan has Arya directed by Balasekaran getting ready for release.

Meanwhile, Maddy has committed to play the lead role in a movie titled Sarkar to be produced and directed by Madhesh, a one-time associate of director Shankar, who directed Vijay starrer Madurai.

Though it is titled Sarkar, it has got nothing to do with Amitabh's recent Hindi movie directed by Ram Gopal Verma on the same title, clarifies Madhavan.
