Madhavan came on-board to extend his support to P&G’s flagship corporate social responsibility programme Shiksha, by helping to build a wall for RTI -Shiksha School in Chennai.

The actor was delighted to visit the Shiksha Gangadevi Bajranglal Chokhani Vivekananda Vidyalaya (a Shiskha and NGO Round Table India supported school in Chennai), and contributed by helping to build a portion of a school wall.

“It was a delight to meet the little children of the school. Shiksha is doing a wonderful job to educate these underprivileged children and I would like to urge all Indians to pledge their support to the cause,” he said.

Lakshmi Narasimhan, regional manager - customer business development, P&G India said, “Shiksha is not just an initiative, but a passion. After touching the lives of 150,000 children, we are now helping build the future of India by building 20 schools this year and an aim to build another 20 in the coming year.”
