Malayalam actress and famous dancer Sreelakshmi passed away at 38 on September 28th. According to reports, she died while undergoing treatment for pneumonia. Sreelakshmi has played many notable roles in TV serials, films and short movies.

Sreelakshmi has performed in various ballets at Aravindaksha Menon's Jayakerala Dance College, Thripunithura, Kerala. She has also won the All Kerala Dance College's State Award 2020 for her performance in the ballet Ardhangana by Pathanamthitta Mudra Nrithavedi.

She was married to Ratheesh a businessman from Dubai. After marriage, she retired from movies to Dubai with family and was busy running a dance school. She made a comeback in 2012 with television serials. She later returned to India and she settled in Thiruvananthapuram and started a dance school Temple of Arts at Kuravankonam.

Her sudden death has come as a shock to the Malayalam film industry. Many celebrities and friends from the industry are sending their condolences to her family via Twitter.
