The grand teaser launch event of the magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan part 1', directed by Mani Ratnam, took place in Chennai last Friday. While most of the cast were present at the function, Chiyaan Vikram wasn't able to be there as he was hospitalized due to a slight chest discomfort on the day.
Chiyaan Vikram plays the Chola crown prince Aditya Karikalan, who influences the fate of the kingdom, in 'Ponniyin Selvan'. As the fans missed their idol's presence at the event, the makers took to social media today to reveal that the 'Anniyan' actor has lent his own voice in all five languages.
Sharing a video from Vikram's dubbing session in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam respectively, Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies captioned, "Our Chola Tiger Roars - in 5 tongues!" (sic). 'Ponniyin Selvan' is the cinematic adaptation of the renowned author Kalki's epic novel of the same name.
With music by AR Rahman, 'Ponniyin Selvan part 1' has dialogues by Jeyamohan. The epic multistarrer features Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Karthi, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, Shobita Dhulipala, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, Ashwin and others. 'PS1' is all set to hit the screens worldwide on September 30.
